Today’s Word: God-centered faith (Part 3)

Today’s Bible Reference: Psalms 18:29 (AMPC) – “For by you, I can run through a troop, and by my God, I can leap over a wall.”

Once upon a time, David had an opportunity for a lifetime, or so it seemed. It was an opportunity to prove the power of God to the Israelites and the Philistines.

To the Israelites, for them to know the power and love of their God towards them. To the Philistines and other enemies – to prove the jealousy and commitment of the God of Israel towards his own.

While others were afraid of Goliath, David jumped on the opportunity. But there was going to be a problem. King Saul wanted David to use his weapons because of the seriousness of the battle.

David was wise not to take on himself what had never worked for him. He was careful not to take on weapons that would distract him from His God. He was careful to stay in alignment with divine instructions.

David looked at Goliath and made him understand that His strength is in the Lord Almighty. He demonstrated that anything you deploy by faith in the Lord will give you great results. So, David boasted in the Lord, deployed his skill with the sling, and God made sure it produced victory.

Dear friend, keep boasting in the Lord and keep doing what you do skillfully. God will honour you with good results.

Today’s Prophetic Declaration:

I declare that God’s anointing is upon my labour and efforts, and I am enjoying supernatural results in Jesus’ name.
