Today’s Word: Freedom from the Past (Part 3)

Today’s Bible Reference: Genesis 13:14-15, ICB – “After Lot left, the Lord said to Abram, ‘Look all around you. Look north and south and east and west. All this land that you see, I will give to you and your descendants forever.’”

According to today’s bible reference, Abraham had a profound encounter with the Lord where God told him, “I have something great planned for you, but first, you must leave your father’s house.” This meant leaving behind his past, mistakes, negative experiences, and everything that held him back.

After Lot separated from him, the Lord spoke to Abraham again, saying, “Lift your eyes and look around you from where you stand.” (Genesis 13:14). God was urging Abraham to stop focusing on his past, on who left him or what he had lost, and to look forward to the future He was preparing.

There are moments when God allows certain things to happen for our growth.

Some people might leave our lives, and though it may seem like a loss, it is all part of His divine plan. God’s message to you today is clear: “Focus on me, rise above your past, and trust that what I have planned for you is greater than anything you have ever experienced.”
