Today’s Word: Defeating Deceptions (Part 1)

Today’s Bible Reference: Romans 12:2 (ICB)—“Do not be shaped by this world. Instead, be changed within by a new way of thinking.”

While we live in the world, we must be mindful not to conform to its standards and philosophies. As Christians, the Word of God sets the standards that must rule our lives.

Romans 12:2 teaches us not to be shaped by the world’s systems. Instead, we must be transformed by renewing our minds. Only then can we discern what God’s will is for us and understand what is good and pleasing to Him.

As we engage with others, we will encounter ideologies that oppose God’s Word. We must be sensitive to these, rejecting them and disciplining ourselves to judge all things according to Scripture.

I pray for you that you will experience divine strength to daily reject lies and deception the enemy throws around in this generation in Jesus’ name.
