Today’s Word: Express Your Gratitude

Bible Reference: Psalms 9:1, NKJV—”I will praise you, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all your marvelous works.”

I know God has done great things in your life, but how are you thanking Him? How are you expressing your gratitude to God for life and all the blessings you keep receiving?

In 2 Samuel 16, the scripture recounts David’s extravagant praise and gratitude to God. David danced before the Lord till his clothes fell off. We also learn in 1 Kings 3 how King Solomon offered over a thousand cows to honour God for making him king. Hannah gave Samuel, as a sacrifice of gratitude, to God to end the barrenness in her life.

We cannot truly repay God’s kindness, but we can thank him in beautiful ways that show worship. Be it a soul won to Christ, a financial sacrifice, an hour of worship, a covenant, or a dedication of your life to God, think of a way to express your gratitude and do it today.

When you put thought and effort into thanking God in the best way, you will continue to experience the awesome things He alone can do.

I am praying for you today that a fresh anointing for expressing gratitude comes upon you in Jesus’ name.

Lord, I thank you for loving me beyond my faults and limitations. Thank you for teaching me to love. Thank you, Lord Jesus.
