Today’s Word: THE ESSENCE OF WORSHIP (Part 3)
Today’s Bible Reference: John 4:23-24, TPT – “From now on, worshipping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with a right heart. For God is a spirit and he longs to have sincere worshippers who adore him in the realm of the spirit and in the truth.”
Many churches today are referred to as ‘places of worship’, but we are meant to worship God not only in a church building; we can do so anywhere, at any time.
Some are physically present in a church service or in a church building who are not worshipping God; there may even be so-called ‘worship leaders’ and singers who are performing an activity or display but are not worshipping God.
As our text today says, God longs for sincere worshippers who adore him in the realm of the spirit. Worship is more than a location or an activity; there must be a heartfelt connection between our spirit and the one we claim to worship.
Receive grace to worship God in the spirit and truth today.
Today’s Prophetic Declaration:
I declare that my heart is true, and my spirit is aligned with God’s spirit. I declare that I worship God in spirit and truth today.
