Topic: ACTIVATING AND SUSTAINING DAILY HELP (Part 2)

Text: “Because of their faith in him, their daily portion will be a father’s help and deliverance from evil. This is true for all who turn to hide themselves in him.” – Psalms 37:40, TPT.

The help of God causes ordinary people to be associated with extraordinary results. Anyone who desires to rise high must never undermine God’s help. Your greatest boast should be about the power and possibilities of God’s help and grace.

In our previous discussion, we looked at David’s exceptional character and how he would repent whenever he went against God’s ways.

His humility and sincerity to God were a solid foundation for the kind of divine help he experienced. David would never create reasons why he must continue in sin. We can learn from David that when we sin and seek forgiveness, the Lord expects us to have a broken heart and a contrite spirit. This godly sorrow comes when our desire to feel at peace with our Father. God always helped David because of the kind of heart he had toward God.

Scripture declares in Psalms 34:18 the Lord is near to the heartbroken, and he saves those who are crushed in spirit (contrite in heart, those who are genuinely sorry for their sin). God saves those who are truly sorry for their sin. True repentance is one way to activate daily help.

WISDOM PUSH:

True repentance is turning away from what is wrong and choosing what God says is best.
