TOPIC: THE PROFIT OF OBEDIENCE (Part 5)
Text: “So now obey me and keep my agreement. Do this, and you will be my own possession, chosen from all nations. Even though the whole earth is mine.” – Exodus 19:5

There’s no good reason to disobey God. You should not be proud of yourself if the word of God is not the law in your life. It is not a thing of honour to go against God. People who don’t listen to God lose too much.

In 1 Samuel 15, we discover that King Saul lost out of favour with God because of his disobedience. Because of his disobedience, he was displaced and replaced. Obedience to God establishes us in whatever blessings and advantages God has bestowed upon us.

According to Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus made it clear that a person who hears the word and obeys is a wise person who builds his house upon a rock. Therefore, you must make obedience to God your guiding principle in everything you do. If you want to be a mystery to the enemy and all other kinds of opposition, make obeying God your top priority.

The believer in Christ does not live their life according to the standards and ideas of unbelievers; this is why something is wrong when our lives make sense to unbelievers.

Lord Jesus, by your spirit, convict me when I am tempted to disobey or to go my way.
