Nothing is worth abandoning the fear of God for; you will gain nothing worthwhile by dishonouring God.

Life is essentially a trade; you must give up something in exchange for something else. When we go to our jobs or provide a service, we trade our skills and time for a salary or wage. Life is essentially a trade. You can’t avoid trading and transacting in life, but we must keep an eye out for fair trade.

As we go through life, we will have to make certain sacrifices to obtain the things we desire. However, as Christians, we must be careful not to compromise our relationship with God for any reason.

I want to emphasize that whatever you are willing to give up for the fear of God is not worth it. The devil never tells you that whatever an unbeliever has is always in exchange for something more valuable. If the devil succeeds in giving you anything, he takes away something more precious. The devil offers no free gifts, and his blessings are poisoned.

Only the blessing of the Lord makes a person rich and adds no sorrow (Proverbs 10:22). This is yet another reminder to you, do not admire unbelievers and anyone who has displaced God in their lives because of their pursuit of things. No matter the season of your life, continue to live in the fear of the Lord. God is faithful to make all things right in your life.
