Topic: THE HAND OF HELP (Part 6)

Text: “My beloved brothers and sisters, the passionate desire of my heart and constant prayer to God is for my fellow Israelites to experience salvation.” – Romans 10:1, TPT.

As Christians, we are taught to show unselfish love to others, and we are enabled to honour this counsel with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Praying for others is one way to display our selfless love for them. Although we all have our own needs and can become self-centred by focusing solely on things we need, praying for others demonstrates God’s unconditional love.

Praying for others is a selfless act of godly love. Only those who sincerely love God can indeed intercede for others. The scripture admonishes us in James 5:16 to pray for another. Praying for others allows us to think beyond ourselves and develop compassion.

Dear friend, we must develop a habit of praying for others. We must desire God’s best for the lives of others and express this desire through prayer.

Beyond the act of prayer, the love in our hearts that motivates us to pray for others will also lead us to reach out and serve others in whatever manner we can.

Interceding for others in prayer is an excellent way to express God’s love and extend a helping hand.
