Topic: MAXIMISING THE MOMENTS (Part 7)

Text: “The Lord is my shepherd. I have everything I need.” – Psalms 23:1, ICB.

A key lesson from Psalms 23 is that it is a testimony and powerful words that align us with God. Those who understand how to declare God’s word to themselves consistently will be less concerned when others say negative things to or about them.

There are negative things people can say to you that will make it harder for you to live the way you were supposed to because you believed those negative words.

This is why, as Christians, we must seize every opportunity to speak positively to and about ourselves.

When people ask you about yourself, don’t push your limitations forward. Instead, speak life, present your hopes, talk about your vision/plans, express your faith in the Lord and voice out your confidence in the Lord, who is deliberate and intentional about your life. Maximise every moment.

Our words shape our lives. Students of the Bible understand that words were the seeds that God used to create the world, and because we are made in his image and likeness, our words have the same creative power.

Be deliberate about what you say. Do not be careless with your words. Continue sending words of victory ahead of you. Keep speaking words of hope. Continue to speak words of encouragement to yourself. All of these will inspire you to live productively in the present moment while remaining optimistic about the future.

Take about sixty seconds to speak great words to yourself; speak into your life.
