TOPIC: STAY ON COURSE (PART 10)
Text: “For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again…” – Proverbs 24:16, AMP.
One fundamental wisdom we need to have as we live is that failure is not the opposite of success but a part of it. This understanding is essential for seeing everything in a positive light. Having the right perspective plays a vital role in our experiences.
Someone once said that if you try but fail, it’s a great thing because most people don’t even try at all. Perspective is key.
If we try things and they don’t go how we expect, at least it allows us to learn, and build perseverance and resilience. You must never be ashamed that you failed at something.
We need to change how we think and see failure because a key difference between high achievers and average people is their understanding and response to failure. Failing at something should never be the issue; the issue should be how we handle failure.
Dear friend, the actual failure is not the one who failed at something but the one who remains afraid and refuses to do anything.
Even if they fail, the person attempting things is making progress with their life. Failure is a necessary part of the journey towards success. By failure, we mean when things do not go as planned, when you miss a deadline, when hopes are dashed, and when it appears that everyone else is winning except you.
To stay on course in life’s journey, we must see failure from a positive perspective, and we must never be disappointed in ourselves when things don’t go as planned or expected. Nothing should make you give up because God is causing everything to work out for your good. (Romans 8:28).
Regardless of the outcome, every effort takes us one step closer to the manifestation of God’s glory in our lives.
