Topic: EYES THAT SEE (Part 4)

Text: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people”- Ephesians 1:18, NIV.

Many people can see with their physical eyes, but the eyes of their hearts are closed to understanding the things of God.

Our spiritual eyes are not to be opened only to reveal the intentions or plans of the enemy; they are also meant to be open to clarity to God’s word and his instructions.

The word of God holds the solution to every area of our lives, but often, our spiritual eyes are not open to see as we engage the scriptures. God wants our eyes to be open to behold wonders out of his word.

The Bible explains in 2 Corinthians 3:14-16 that there is a veil that covers the hearts of men and prevents them from understanding the word of God, which can only be taken away in Christ.

Dear friend, always pray for understanding when you take your Bible to read and study. Pray that every veil covering your spiritual eyes will be removed and that you will receive the light of God’s word.

Take time to read and meditate on Psalm 119:130.

The solution to our challenges often may not be hidden in more prayers but in the word of God. It requires ‘open eyes’ to locate it.

In the name of Jesus, I speak to my spiritual eyes to be opened from today as I study God’s word.
