Topic: LORD, WHY CAN’T I SERVE YOU? (Part 5)

Text: “Jesus said, my food is to do what the one who sent me wants me to do. My food is to finish the work he gave me to do.”- John 4:34, ICB.

Serving God should not be a burden but a joy and a privilege. We have been trusted with an assignment so great and precious that a cloud of witnesses in heaven is watching out for those on earth to see how they perform.

David was so excited about God’s house that he only desired to ‘dwell in God’s house and inquire in his temple’. 

Jesus said his meat is to do God’s will. How you see service in God’s house will determine your consistency and even your blessings to some extent. 

The heart with which we serve will determine the hand of intimacy God extends to us.

Today’s Task:

Reach out to someone you know is discouraged about serving God or has backslidden from the faith. Take time to pray for them.

Serve God with joy or not at all.

Lord Jesus, I offer myself afresh today; let your kingdom be expanded through me.
