Today’s Word: Living out God’s Love (Part 6)
Today’s Bible Reference: Matthew 22:39, ICB – “And the second commandment is like the first: ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.”
When the love for God is truly in a person’s heart, it will be revealed and reflected in our words, actions and reactions towards others. The absence of the love of God in a heart will result in hostility and resentment towards others.
Our speaking in tongues is useless if we don’t walk in love. Our praise and worship cannot ascend if we refuse to walk in love with others (1 Corinthians 13:1-7). We must consciously submit our hearts to the Lord for his power to subdue the influence and manipulation of the flesh.
As we release ourselves to Him, we will continue to manifest and reflect his nature of love effortlessly, and his love in our hearts will show as we relate with others. God is love, and we must reflect this righteous virtue to others.
