Today’s Word: A Call to Spiritual Depths (Part 4)

Today’s Bible Reference: Isaiah 29:13 (ICB)—“The Lord says: these people say they love me… But their hearts are far from me. The honour they show me is nothing but human rules they have memorised.”

A common challenge among believers is relating to God without truly knowing Him. Many Christians pray to a God they don’t know. Even if you’ve experienced miracles and testimonies, it’s still possible to be unfamiliar with the heart of God.

In Acts 17, the Apostle Paul encountered religious people in Athens who worshipped God but didn’t truly know Him. They even had an altar inscription: “To an unknown God.” Paul seized the opportunity to teach them about the God they didn’t know—the One who loves them deeply. It was only when they grew to know God that their walk with Him truly began.

Our Christian journey deepens as we grow in the knowledge of God. God longs for us to know Him more, not just for what He gives, but for who He is. Seek to know Him better each day.

I pray that the Lord continues to stir in your heart the desire to seek and to know Him more.
