Topic:  A NEW THINKING (Part 4)

Text: “People never pour new wine into old leather bags for holding wine. If they do, the new wine will break the bags, and the wine will spill out. Then, the leather bags for holding wine will be ruined. People always put new wine into new leather bags.”- Luke 5:37-38, ICB.

Change is a constant in life. Everything about you will continue to evolve for the better as long as you are open to change and new perspectives. Being devoted to a flawed belief system is one of the most terrible things a person can do. It’s not enough to say, “That’s how it’s always been”. You must also ask yourself, “Is this working for me?” Is this assisting me in reaching my objectives? Is this helping my life?”

It’s okay to outgrow certain ways of doing things, and it’s also okay to question certain ways you’ve always done things. A better way may exist. However, we will not know if a better way is possible unless we examine and interrogate how things have always been done.

As we strive for growth in all areas of our lives, we must be open to new ideas and new ways of doing things. Don’t stay stuck to old and terrible ways of doing things, don’t be loyal to what is working against good progress in your life and be open to trying something new.

The Holy Spirit is our teacher, meaning he wants to teach us new things. Let’s be open to learning.

Ask the Lord to deliver you from ancient ways of thinking and traditional ways of doing things that are not helping your life.

There is a response and reaction that must follow when we continue to listen to negative and unedifying voices.

In the name of Jesus, I declare that the Lord is doing new and glorious things in and through my life this season.
