Topic:  A NEW THINKING (Part 8)

Text: “Go watch the ants, you lazy person. Watch what they do and be wise.”-Proverbs 6:6, ICB.

You will gain wisdom if you listen to the wise. If you listen to a fool, you will learn not to be a fool.

We will live wiser and smarter if we can learn from the lives of others and avoid repeating their mistakes and errors.

Those who are not wise wait to learn only from their own mistakes and experiences, whereas those who are wise profit from the mistakes and experiences of others.

We can live more productively if we carefully observe the lives of others, their principles, values, and outcomes.

Too many live with arrogance and believe they don’t need to learn from others, which becomes the key reason for their struggles, average living, and repeating avoidable mistakes.

God’s word tells us in Ecclesiastes 1:9 that there is nothing new under the sun. God’s word also tells in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that the temptations in your life are no different from what others experience.

Dear friend, ignoring the actions and mistakes of others when we can see their consequences and regrets is not a sign of wisdom.

While it is important to learn from your own mistakes, it is even more important to learn from the mistakes of others.

Pause to reflect and identify the people you are learning from in your field of endeavour.

Learning from the mistakes of others is a smart way to live because you will always be ahead of others who keep making avoidable mistakes.
