Today’s Word: A Simple Truth About Hell

Today’s Bible Reference: 2 Peter 2:4 (ICB)—“When the angels sinned, God did not let them go free without punishment. God sent them to hell and put them in caves of darkness. They are being held there to be judged.”

Scripture makes it clear: those who reject God’s love and live by their standards will face the reality of hell (Luke 16:19-31).

Heaven and hell are real places. Hell is a place of unimaginable agony and torment. 

Those who refuse God’s mercy will experience His wrath (Revelation 20:11-15). Hell was never meant for humans; it was created for Satan and his fallen angels. Yet, because sin is rebellion against God, many will choose eternity with Satan by rejecting God.

God does not delight in anyone’s suffering. He desires that all repent and embrace His love. However, hell remains a necessary reality for those who turn away from God.

Friend, hold fast to your faith in God, keep your eyes on Him, and continue your walk with Him. A great reward awaits you. I pray that you will finish well in Jesus’ name.
