TOPIC: AGREEING WITH GOD (Part 4)

Text: “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11, AMP.

Whatever God says about us reveals what He is committed to. So, it’s to our advantage to believe him. So, today, we will consider three simple lessons that will help us agree with God concerning our lives.

1. Believe that God is in charge of your life. No matter the situation, believe God. In Numbers 13, we learn that Joshua and Caleb never doubted if God was in control of their lives. This is one way you agree with God concerning your life.

2. Maintain the discipline of always giving glory to God. This was how Abraham remained in alignment with what God wanted to do in his life. Romans 4:20 reminds us that Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. Instead, his faith grew stronger and in this, he brought glory to God.

3. Protect your heart. Be watchful and mindful of what controls the direction of your thought. Be intentional about feeding yourself with the word every day. Remember, God says he thinks good thoughts concerning you (Jeremiah 29:11). You must also think only good thoughts. Have only good expectations. These are guaranteed ways to stay aligned and agree with God concerning our lives.

Whatever is not your expectation should not be your meditation; be intentional about what you meditate on.
