Topic: AGREEING WITH GOD (Part 1)

Text: “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11, AMP.

Knowing your identity as a Christian is not optional. It is not something you dismiss as unimportant. Nothing you do or say is effective without knowing who you are in Christ. When you know who you are in God, it changes how you look at everything.

Our identity in God is not something we earned or worked for. We did nothing to deserve it. Instead, we have an identity because of Jesus. Through Jesus Christ, we have become valuable in the eyes of the Lord. According to Ephesians 5:8, Christ has brought us from the darkness into the light. He has now made us light. As we accepted him as our Lord, he brought us into his light, and he has indeed transformed us into lights.

So, you need to know who you are and grow every day in your understanding of who you are; this understanding serves as your fortress, weapon, defence, and advantage. You cannot win over many things unless you understand your identity in Christ. So, every day, as you become more aware of who God has created you to be, agree wholeheartedly with it.
