TOPIC: AGREEING WITH GOD (Part 2)

Text: “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” – Ephesians 1:3, NLT.

The knowledge of your identity in Christ is critical for effective Christianity. When we don’t know and understand who we are in Christ, everything else we do will have no power. Knowing Christ and who we have become because of him is central to the gospel. Everything else you do without knowing your identity in Christ will be a meaningless religious exercise.

One major factor that worked against the children of Israel was their lack of understanding of their identity in God; they did not see themselves as God saw them, and challenges caused them to doubt everything God had said about them. One of the reasons Joshua and Caleb stood out was that they agreed with God’s plan for their lives.

You will always stand out when you agree with God about your life. This fundamental principle should guide your life every day: agree with God concerning every area of your life.
