Today’s Word: AN UNDERSTANDING HEART (Part 1)

Today’s Bible Reference: Proverbs 2:3 (NLT) – “Cry out for insight, ask for understanding.”

In Isaiah 6:8, God asks, “Who will go for us?” Isaiah replies, “Here I am, send me”. The next thing God says is a very shocking but often true statement. He says, “Tell the people to listen, but they will not understand.”

Many people listen to God’s voice; they receive instructions and directions from God, but very few truly understand it, and you cannot effectively run with what you don’t understand. This is a key reason for the contradictions present in the lives of many believers. 

We need to go beyond hearing God to truly desire to understand what God is saying. Hearing ears and a willing heart are not enough. We need to understand God’s instructions to truly obey and enjoy the benefits of divine direction. 

Beyond asking God to speak, ask for understanding. I pray that your new experience of supernatural understanding begins today.
