Today’s Word: An Understanding Heart (Part 2)

Today’s Bible Reference: Proverbs 2:3 (NLT) – “Cry out for insight, ask for understanding.”

God’s word tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:4 that the enemy has blinded the eyes of men who do not believe, so they cannot see the glorious light of the gospel. When people cannot see the light of the gospel, they are more likely to continue committing wicked acts.

A person can attend church meetings but still delight in evil because they have not seen the light of the gospel.

According to Ephesians 4: 18, a sinner’s mind is ‘full of darkness’. Jesus said that if people’s eyes were open to see and their ears were open to hear, their hearts would understand, and they would turn to God and be healed. Understanding and light distinguish a person of integrity from a wicked person.

A lack of understanding is what keeps people from God. We must ask the Lord for understanding so we can know Him better. I pray that you receive a release of light today in Jesus’ name.

Today’s Prophetic Declaration:

In the name of Jesus, I declare that God’s light floods my heart today, transforming how I live from today.
