TOPIC: BLESSED BY GOD (Part 4)

TEXT: The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need. He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water. He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right path as he has promised.” – Psalms 23:1-3, GNT.

The word of God makes us understand that the future of a blessed person is beautiful. According to the Bible, they are like trees planted by streams of water that bear fruit in their season, they do not wither, and they prosper in whatever they do. This is the reality of blessed people.

For everyone blessed of the Lord, nothing can cut short your days. You need to be convinced about this and be unshakeable in this understanding. Jesus Christ brought us into this blessing.

However, we must be deliberate not to open the door to the enemy because he is always looking for access to steal, kill and destroy. If you open the door to the enemy, you have empowered him against you.

So, scripture reminds us in Psalms 1:3 that a blessed person is focused on God’s Word and meditates on it day and night.

A blessed person deliberately allows the Word of God to govern their lives. The blessed person meditates on the Word of God.

Meditating on the Word of God is thinking on the Word, thinking with the Word, and reflecting on the Word.

Through meditation, you are digesting the Word, which adds quality and value to your life. Just as the Lord admonished Joshua in Joshua 1:9, living by the Word will always become easier and natural when you meditate on it.

To make it easier for the Word of God to govern our lives, we must habitually meditate on the Word. A life of wisdom becomes natural when we maintain a habit of meditating on the Word of God.

So, this is one of the disciplines of a blessed person: meditating on the Word of God.

If you are a blessed person, you confirm it by the value you give to the Word of God. A blessed person continues to prosper and advance by the Word of God.
