Topic: Broken Connection (Part 2)

Text: “The Lord searches all the earth for people who have given themselves completely to him. He wants to make them strong. Asa, you did a foolish thing. From now on, you will have wars.” – 2 Chronicles 16:9, ICB.

God’s word assures us in Hebrews 4:15, ICB, that our high priest can understand our weaknesses because he was tempted in every way but did not sin.

Our high priest knows our weaknesses and limitations, so he intercedes to the father for us.

God knows that we are made from dust and cannot win on our own against the hardships and battles of life. Hence, Jesus tells us in John 15:5 that we can do nothing without him. His hand is always stretched out to help us.

When we refuse to lean on God, we permit our battles to continue.

We are only strong through Christ if we surrender to him and trust him to help us in our times of weakness.

There is nothing too small or too big to talk to God about, and we must practice asking and receiving help from God.

We can never exhaust God’s help; his mercies are new every day and showered on those who expect his help.

Lord Jesus, today I receive your help to rise over every negative addiction and to overcome every trap of the enemy.
