Topic: CHOOSE GRATITUDE (Part 1)

Text: “Come into his city with songs of thanksgiving. Come into his courtyards with songs of praise. Thank him and praise his name.” — Psalms‬ 100‬:4‬, ICB‬‬.

Anyone who embraces the principle of gratitude will achieve great success in life. The biblical King David was such an exceptional person because he understood the power of gratitude. Thanking and praising God was a way of life for David.

As we give thanks to God for what he has done, we will see more of what he is capable of.

Because of their ingratitude, God referred to the Israelites as an evil generation (Deuteronomy 1:35, 3:25). After many years of slavery, the Lord brought them out of Egypt. He ensured they left Egypt with riches, and God continued to perform great miracles to sustain them as they travelled through the wilderness.

When the Israelites faced difficulties, they did not believe that the God who had previously delivered them could also deliver them now. They had grown so ungrateful to God that they desired to return to Egypt.

We must not forget yesterday’s miracles because of today’s challenges. We must remain grateful. We must learn from the story of the Israelites as told in the Bible because failure to learn from history is a recipe for repeating history.

Always remember that gratitude is a powerful force that propels people forward.
