Today’s Word: CHOOSING GOD OVER EVERYTHING (Part 7)

Today’s Bible Reference: Matthew 6:33, NIV – “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

In 2 Chronicles 1:10-12, we learn of a remarkable moment in Solomon’s life. When God offered to grant Solomon any request, his choice was unconventional. Rather than seeking personal gain, Solomon asked for wisdom to lead God’s people faithfully. This selfless desire demonstrated his love for God and a genuine yearning to fulfil God’s purpose for his life.

God’s response was overwhelming: He granted Solomon unparalleled wisdom and blessed him with riches and honor beyond measure. This encounter teaches us that prioritizing God in our lives positions us to receive far more than we could imagine.

Dear friend, let this be a call to examine your heart. Are your desires rooted in love for God and a commitment to His will?

True devotion to God is not just seen in words but in the kind of prayers we pray and the lives we lead. Let us re-examine our focus and keep our hearts aligned with God’s will.
