Today’s Word: CHOOSING OBEDIENCE (Part 3)

Today’s Bible Reference: 2 John 1:6, TPT—”This love means living in obedience to whatever God commands us. For to walk in love toward one another is the unifying commandment we have heard from the beginning.”

 

An instruction always precedes every great act of God. Always look out for God’s instructions whenever you desire the supernatural in your life or situations.

Our response to God’s instruction will determine our experience. God’s instructions are not mere words to be written down; they must be followed.

In John 2:6-9, we read about a couple who invited Jesus to their wedding. During the celebration, the host ran out of wine—a situation that could have led to embarrassment.

Jesus’ mother, Mary, informed Him of the issue and then told the servants to obey whatever He instructed. They followed His command, and a miraculous provision followed. Obeying God never takes us backwards; it always leads to greater blessing.

Though the instruction of Jesus seemed to lack human logic, obedience transformed a potential moment of shame into one of honour.

I encourage you today to arise to obey whatever the Lord has been ministering to you about, and I pray that you also will have a testimony that obedience pays in Jesus’ name.
