Today’s Word: CHOOSING OBEDIENCE (Part 5)
Today’s Bible Reference: Exodus 19:5—“So now obey me and keep my agreement. Do this, and you will be my own possession, chosen from all nations. This statement holds true because the entire earth belongs to me.”
There is no good reason to ever go against God’s word. It will never be honourable to go against God’s will and counsel. Disobedience leads to dishonour and certain forms of losses as it relates to our destinies.
In 1 Samuel 15, King Saul lost out on God’s favour due to disobedience. His disobedience was rebellion against God, and it cost him his throne. Disobedience brings losses. Obedience to God has a way of establishing good over our lives.
As Jesus said in Matthew 7:24-27, the wise person builds their house on the rock by hearing and obeying God’s Word. Make obedience your guiding principle, and you will remain firm despite opposition.
I pray for you, through your commitment to obeying God in all things, that you will not lose anything good in life in Jesus’ name.
Today’s Prophetic Declaration
Lord Jesus, by Your Spirit, convict and rebuke me when I am tempted to disobey or follow my own way.
