Today’s Word: CHOOSING OBEDIENCE (Part 6)
Today’s Bible Reference: James 1:25—“But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides by it, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he will be blessed and favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience].”
Trust is the foundation of obedience. Without trust, your obedience to God will be discouraged.
John 14:15 reveals that our obedience stems from love for God. We obey Him because we know and trust Him.
Though obedience to God’s counsel and leading may not always result in immediate rewards, patience and faith are essential. Keep trusting God, and remember that no one who trusts in Him will ever be ashamed (Psalm 25:3).
Dear friend, remind yourself always that God is faithful to reward your obedience in His time. Trust and obey Him with patience.
Always remember, none who put their trust in God will end in shame. Our God is trustworthy.
Today’s Prophetic Declaration
Lord Jesus, help me to always trust the path You have chosen for me.
