Topic: CLARITY FOR PRODUCTIVE RELATIONSHIPS (Part 7)

When it comes to relationships and building relationships, there are certain elements and factors to look out for in people. Because our association is a critical part of our lives, certain things must not be ignored or wished away. We would consider one of them today and talk about others in the days ahead.

Here is one element that you must look out for. You must be careful about people who are always negative about everything. Sure, some speak negativity out of discouragement or based on a season of their life or based on perspective about certain issues, but some are always negative. They are always negative about others, negative about ideas, and negative about the things you want to do. I am talking about people with something negative to say every time about everything, and there is nothing you can do to change how they feel. These expressions are actual reflections of how they feel inside and how they feel about themselves. We often find ourselves adjusting to who they are and creating a defence for them by saying. Here is what happens, after a while, you will soon become like them. This is because you will gradually adopt whatever you don’t have a problem with. So, here is my counsel to you today, be careful about people who are always negative about everything.

1. Stay around people who have something positive and godly that you desire in your life.
2. Be attracted to values, principles, and discipline.
