Today’s Word: Courage in the face of fear (Part 2)

Today’s Bible Reference: Psalms 27:1, ICB – “The Lord is my light and the one who saves me. So, why should I fear anyone? The Lord protects my life. So, why should I be afraid?”

 

As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we have an identity and are divinely empowered to walk confidently in our identity as children of God.

Today, I want us to look at three important benefits we have as God’s children.

First, we have God’s everlasting commitment. Hebrews 13:5 reminds us of God’s unwavering promise: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” This covenant ensures that you are never abandoned or alone.

Secondly, we have direct access to the Father at all times. Through the price Jesus paid, you now have unparalleled access to God, the ultimate source of help and support. No barrier can hinder your communion with Him.

Thirdly, you can trust in God’s Unchanging Faithfulness. Deuteronomy 31:6 assures us of God’s resolve to fulfil His Word concerning you. Trust that His plans for your life are steadfast and perfect.

So, these are three awesome benefits you have as a child of God: God’s everlasting commitment, direct access to the Father and God’s integrity that can be trusted.
