Today’s Word: Deeper Roots, Brighter Glory (Part 2)

Bible Reference: 1 Peter 2:2 ICB – “As newborn babies want milk, you should want the pure milk, you should want the pure and simple teaching. By it, you can mature in your salvation.”

The extent to which we yield to God reflects our spiritual maturity. Our ‘surrenderedness’ to God is measured by how well our flesh is dying daily and yielding to the influence and authority of God’s Spirit.

Our spiritual maturity is measured by how much our hearts have become captured by the things of God, how much we delight in Him, and where His joy and pleasure have become the same as ours.

Spiritual maturity in a believer’s life is about how well the character of Christ is moulded and revealed in us. As we submit ourselves to the influence of God’s Spirit, we will begin and continue to manifest the character of Christ.

We must learn to ‘let go’ and release ourselves to the Holy Spirit to do the work in us. We do not have to try to do it ourselves, but allow Him to lead and guide us into everything He has for us. This is the Father’s call to you today—ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT TO DO HIS WORK IN YOU.

In the name of Jesus, I release myself to the ministry of the Holy Spirit, and I declare that He wins in my life every day.
