Today’s Word: Defeating Deceptions (Part 4)

Today’s Bible Reference: Ecclesiastes 10:8 (ICB)—“Anyone who digs a pit might fall into it. Anyone who knocks down a wall might be bitten by a snake.”

The devil is always attempting to sell lies, and when we accept what he offers, we give him access to our hearts. Agreeing with the devil’s lies allows him to exert influence over our lives.

One of the prevalent lies of this age is that sin and ungodly practices have no consequences.

Dear friend, sin is rebellion against God.

Sin is when we reject what God offers, when we choose disobedience over His commands. A lifestyle of sin comes with inevitable consequences.

Proverbs 28:1 reminds us that the wicked run and are afraid when no one pursues them.

A key consequence of sin is the loss of peace. Psalm 119:165 assures us that those who love and follow God’s Word will find true peace.

Friend, rejecting God’s ways leads to consequences. The lie that there are no consequences for rejecting God’s ways is false—reject it, and choose wisdom.

I pray for you that you will not be a victim of the lies and deception the enemy throws around in this generation in Jesus’ name.

In the name of Jesus, today, I receive wisdom to recognize and reject the lies and deceptions of the enemy.
