Today’s Word: DIFFERENT THINKING (Part 3)

Today’s Bible Reference: Numbers 14:24, AMP – “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring him into the land into which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.”

In Numbers 13, we encounter the moment when God instructed Moses to send 12 spies into the Promised Land. Ten spies returned with fearful reports, but only Joshua and Caleb spoke words of faith and victory. They declared, “We can conquer the enemies; God is with us.”

When the Israelites were shaken by fear and unbelief, Moses interceded on their behalf.

In the midst of this, God revealed something remarkable about Caleb. He distinguished him by saying that Caleb, unlike the others, possessed a different spirit—a spirit of faith and obedience that led him to follow God fully. Because of this, Caleb was the only one who would enter the promised land, alongside his descendants.

In life, like Caleb, we are called to live with a different spirit—a spirit that sees beyond circumstances, that holds to God’s promises regardless of the challenges, and that moves forward in faith.

To do so, we must discipline ourselves to see through the eyes of the spirit, with a perspective that aligns with God’s will.
