Topic: DO NOT ADMIRE THEM (Part 12)

 Text: “If you really love me, you will keep (obey) my commands.” – John 14:15, AMPC.

It is for our good that the Lord warns us not to follow in the footsteps of those who have no regard for God. In Galatians 6:7, God’s Word tells us that whatever a person sows, he will reap. This is one of the reasons why God desires to guide us through his Spirit in making the right decisions that will secure our future in both this world and the world to come.

Dear friends, we must be wary of fellow believers who undermine the path of righteousness; be careful of so-called believers who abuse the grace of God, believers who do not bear the fruits of righteousness and who believe that anything is permissible as long as they get what they want.

God’s Word is saying to us today that we must always be guided by the fear of the Lord and let this consciousness lead us in everything we do.

Living in the fear of the Lord means loving God so much that you don’t want to do anything that will break his heart. If you really love the Lord, you will submit to the authority of his Word. (James 4:7).

When this becomes your focus, the Lord will establish you in his blessing and honour, and when you stand alongside others, it will be clear there is something exceptional about you – it is called the glory of God.
