Topic: DO NOT ADMIRE THEM (Part 7)

Text: “The love of money causes all kinds of evil. Some people have left the true faith because they want to get more and more money. But they have caused themselves much sorrow.” – 1 Timothy 6:10, ICB

 

As believers in the Lord Jesus, beyond what money can buy, we also have access to what money cannot buy through Christ.

One of the awesome gifts of God is peace. For everyone in Christ, we have the peace of God, both peace with God and peace in our hearts.

In John 14:27 (TPT), Jesus declares, “I leave the gift of peace with you- my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts – instead, be courageous.”

Peace is knowing that the Lord God is with you at all times. This knowledge also translates and extends to how you live life. Nothing beats the consciousness that God is absolutely in control of your life. No matter what an unbeliever may flaunt, it does not come with peace of mind, and the absence of peace is the presence of many wrong things. Jesus Christ is the author of peace, and when the author of peace is not the pilot of a life, something significant is missing in such life. This is another reason why you must not admire anyone who is not living in the fear of the Lord. The Lord is saying to you today, do not let your heart envy sinners but be guided by the fear of God in all things (Proverbs 23:17-18).
