TOPIC: DOES MONEY ANSWER ALL THINGS? (Part 1)

Text: Luke 12:15 ICB – “Then Jesus said to them, “Be careful and guard against all kinds of greed. A man’s life is not measured by the many things he owns.””

 

Beyond reading the Bible, we must always ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in understanding correctly.

It is possible to read the Bible, and instead of receiving the counsel of God on a matter, you can interpret scriptures from the flesh and receive it in a way that suits and justifies what you desire to do.

There are certain wrong ideologies that many Christians have today that are against what the word of God says.

Some Christians will do anything for money and to meet their material needs.

There are Christians who love and worship money.

Yes, it is possible to worship money and not know. It is possible for money to have become your God and you are not aware.

We must be careful about doing or accepting anything that will make us contradict or go against what God has said. Whatever can make you go against God has become your God.

While we need money to meet our material needs, we must remind ourselves every day that what truly sustains our lives is the grace of God, and we must not allow money to have an over-exalted image in our hearts.

Dear friend, money should be a servant, and must not be allowed to be master. While money can be a really good servant, money is a terrible master.

God does not want you to have another master above him. God should direct how you live your life, not anything else.

Here is God’s word to us today, we must be careful about having an unhealthy desire for anything, including money.

When we have ungodly pursuit of money, it will certainly kill our love for God.

As a Christian, when it comes to the pursuit of money, ensure the boundary lines are clear and not blurred.
