Today’s Word: Encourage Yourself (Part 10)

Bible Reference: 1 Samuel 30:6—“But David strengthened himself in the Lord…”

As we carefully observe the life of David, we read of his strengths, exploits, defeat of Goliath, his expansion of Israel’s borders, and many other mighty acts. But he didn’t have a perfect life. There were days he left alone, weak, discouraged, and with so many other emotions.

From our Bible reference, we learn that on a certain day, David and his men returned from battle to find that their homes had been invaded by enemies who had taken all their wives and children. All the men were bitter, and they blamed David for it. But David encouraged himself in the Lord.

I believe one way David found strength was by speaking the word of God to himself. (Psalms 42:11).

We must build a discipline of using God’s word to lift our spirits. Speak the word of God to yourself. Receive his help by faith. Declare that God is making a way and arise to take steps by faith.

Today’s Prophetic Declaration
In the name of Jesus, right now, I receive supernatural help concerning every need this season.
