Today’s Word: Encourage Yourself (Part 2)
Today’s Bible Reference: 1 Samuel 30:6 – “…But David strengthened himself in the Lord…”
Our Bible reference describes David as being in a very difficult situation. Everyone around him who used to look up to him felt disappointed in him. They even contemplated stoning him.
The situation was enough to get him discouraged, depressed, and withdrawn from everyone. It was enough to make him angry with God or to look for someone else to heap the blame on.
But David encouraged himself in the Lord. He strengthened himself and moved forward, and God gave him the victory.
Your greatest encouragement is the one you give to yourself. No matter what anyone is saying or doing against you, speak well to yourself. Speak the word of God to yourself. Strengthen and encourage yourself in the Lord.
Today’s Prophetic Declaration:
In the name of Jesus, I declare that the word of God fills me with the wisdom I need to win every day.
