Today’s Word: Encourage Yourself (Part 8)

Today’s Bible Reference: 1 Samuel 30:6 – “But David strengthened himself in the Lord…”

As humans, we are emotional beings. We are primarily driven by emotions, not really logic. Every decision, interaction, and choice we make is largely influenced by what we feel. So, we are activated and motivated by emotions.

As believers, this is why your emotions must be surrendered to the Lord as you live a life that is yielded to the Holy Spirit. If your emotions are not yielded to the Lord, you will be misled to do and say the wrong things, and you will open a door to the enemy.

Dear friend, when we are faced with challenges, it is normal to feel some kind of way, but train yourself to speak the word of God instead of submitting to the pull of your emotions.

Make it a habit to keep speaking the word of God, both to yourself and to your situations. This will bring your will to submit to God and bring your emotions under the overwhelming influence of God’s Spirit.

Today’s Prophetic Declaration:

I declare, in the name of Jesus, that the Holy Spirit guides me in every aspect of my life.
