Topic: ENCOURAGE YOURSELF (PART 8)

Bible Text: “Be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid of them. Don’t be frightened. The Lord, your God, will go with you. He will not leave you or forget you.” – Deuteronomy 31:6, ICB.

While it is beautiful to be surrounded by people who support and encourage you in whatever you do and whatever season you are in, you must never live your life solely dependent on the support and assistance of others. Unfortunately, there is a possibility that you will not always have people available to encourage you every time.

If people are not always there to encourage us, we should not become bitter. So many people have personal battles they won’t tell you about.

People often want to help you but are either overwhelmed by their problems or distracted by something else. Please don’t be angry at people for something is beyond them. Instead, let us take a cue from David in 1 Samuel 30:6 and learn how to encourage and strengthen ourselves.

1. Know that a Christian is never alone because God is always with us.
2. Ask God for help when you don’t know what to do.
3. Extend a helping hand to others rather than expecting to be helped all of the time.
