Today’s Word: Encourage Yourself (Part 9)
Bible Reference: Psalms 16:11, ERV—You will teach me the right way to live. Just being with you will bring complete happiness. Being at your right side will make me happy forever.”
The counsel from today’s Bible reference is simply: encourage yourself in the Lord. This means to deliberately shift focus from problems to God’s promises. You need to strengthen your spirit by remembering the previous acts of God’s faithfulness and power in your life and make sure you are declaring truths from the word of God over your life.
Dear friend, you need to learn how to take responsibility for your joy. The scripture tells that David encouraged himself in the Lord. Do not wait for others to lift you. Initiate your own encouragement as you give quality attention to God’s presence every day. For in the presence of our God, there is a supply of joy. (Psalms 16:11).
So, here are the key lessons from today’s word: deliberately shift focus from problems to God’s promise, remember the previous acts of God in your life, and take responsibility for your joy.
Today’s Prophetic Declaration
In the name of Jesus, I declare that there is a supply of supernatural joy in my spirit today.
