Topic: EXTENDING GRACE (Part 10)

Text: “But instead, be kind and affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously forgiven you? Then, graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love. “

How we deal with dissatisfaction from people matters a lot. It could be from friends, colleagues, siblings, spouses, or anybody else; we must be careful not to be slaves to situations when our expectations are dashed or when those who hold in high regard perform below our expectations.

Before you close the door on people because you are dissatisfied with certain things, ask yourself how Jesus would have responded. We must not create any excuse for not responding like Christ. Remember, the Holy Spirit in us helps us to manifest the character of Jesus. It is the character of Christ we call the fruit of the spirit.

We should be willing to offer people the opportunity to be better and not place a finality on their possibilities to be better.

However, if people appear to be determined not to change, we must remove ourselves from the receiving end of their dysfunctionality while we continue to pray for God’s change in their lives.

We must extend grace to everyone as we pray for the Lord to guide them to do and be better in all areas.
