Topic: FLOURISH (PART 2)

Text: “Wicked people grow like grass. Evil people seem to do well. But they will be destroyed forever.” – Psalms 92:7, ICB.

 

As we go about our lives, there are times when it would seem like evil has the upper hand and that those who break the rules, trample on others and have no regard for God are doing better than the righteous people who trust and believe in God.

But this is a lie and deception of the devil to make people stop trusting God and turn their backs on him. According to today’s bible text, God’s word tells us that the wicked are like grass, and the grass grows, spreads and dies just as fast as it sprouts.

Nothing should make you turn your back on righteousness. No unbeliever is doing better than any Christian; you need to have this truth printed in your heart so you don’t get distracted. 

Throughout history, believers who seemed to be doing well but went the opposite of God’s ways met an unpleasant and undesirable end.

Dear friend, good and lasting seeds that grow into great trees and bear lots of fruit require patience, care and attention to detail. This is the fate of the righteous; we are built to last.

The blessing of righteousness may not be seen immediately, but like a seed planted on good soil, it will indeed spring up and last for many generations.

Again, nothing should make you turn your back on righteousness; you will be rewarded if you do not faint.

TODAY’S TASK:

When was the last time you spent quality time worshipping and praising God? Spend some time to do just that today.

WISDOM PUSH:

The prosperity of those who turn their backs on God will not last forever.
