Today’s Word: FOLLOW THE MASTER

Today’s Bible Reference: Matthew 4:19—“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of me.”

 

We learn from the scriptures how Jesus called Simon Peter and Andrew, then James and John, to follow Him. He promised to make them “fishers of men.” In response, they immediately left their nets and followed Him. This was how their lives transformed for the better.

Following Jesus improves and transforms us. Following Jesus frees us from what holds us back and empowers us to lead others to His Kingdom. There is a dignity that is unmistakable in anyone who genuinely allows the Lord Jesus to be Master of their lives.

Dear friend, live a life that consciously follows the leadership of the Lord Jesus in everything. Jesus truly leads, and He wants us to discern and submit to His leadership.

As we follow Jesus, we obey His counsel, yield to His will, and honour His Word. This is what brings into everyday manifestation His glory and blessings to our lives.

May God’s Word continue to bless and strengthen your heart in Jesus’ name.
