Today’s Word: Freedom from the Past (Part 2)

Today’s Bible Reference: Isaiah 43:25, ICB – “I am the one who forgives all your sins. I do this to please myself. I will not remember your sins.”

Until the past loses control over your life, you deny yourself the many amazing things God wants to do in and through you. When the disappointments of yesterday control today, discerning God’s will becomes difficult. (Romans 12:2).

While you mistakenly define your present by your past experiences, God builds your present by His understanding of your future. So, if your perspective is out of alignment with His, even when He speaks clearly, you may fail to recognise it.

For you to fully benefit from God’s word, God wants to elevate your thinking to His level. This happens as we keep giving attention to His word: it will help us see ourselves, situations, and others from His divine perspective.

So, start seeing yourself the way God sees you and confidently call yourself by the name God calls you.

In the name of Jesus, I declare that I am strengthened daily by the Lord and in perfect alignment with His will for my life.
