Topic: FRUITFUL RELATIONSHIPS (Part 6)

Text: “Some friends may ruin you. But a real friend will be more loyal than a brother.”-Proverbs 18:24, ICB.

One of the blessings of having the right relationships in your life is that you are accountable.

Through accountability, we can allow others to look into our lives to identify specific flaws or problem areas.

Some of us are in relationships with people who are not being real to us. They are afraid to speak the truth in love to us, and we also can’t tell them the truth or share how we feel.

So, while we claim to have relationships with them, the relationships are not adding value to certain hindrances.

They may see us in error and not know if we can handle the truth should they share how they feel about us.

We must be deliberate about having accountable relationships in our lives.

To have fruitful relationships, we must allow trusted people to look into our lives and not be afraid to speak up about things that are not going right or are inconsistent with the recipe for meaningful living, and we must accept what they say and then do something to fix it when we hear it.

Are there any good people in your life with whom you have a strained relationship?? Reach out to them today. Are there good people in your life who you haven’t appreciated in a long time? Reach out to them today.

Observing how God treats us should give us a picture of what true friendship really looks like.
