Today’s Word: GOD CREATES THE STANDARD (Part 4)

Today’s Bible Reference: 2 Timothy 3:16, TPT — “Every Scripture has been inspired by the Holy Spirit, the breath of God. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness.”

 

One of the important wisdom lessons for living is that you will grow in anything you invest time in. If you invest time in things that don’t edify, you will be filled with the knowledge of the wrong things. 

God’s word tells us in Galatians 6:8, “For he who sows to the flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

We must be careful about what we are feeding – are we feeding our flesh or spirits?

We can only feed our spirit by giving quality attention to the discipline of fellowshipping with God. There are no shortcuts; if you want to grow in the things of the spirit, you must spend time with the Lord. As you do, he will keep pouring his strength into you, causing you to rise into what He desires.

Remember, it is God who creates the standards. We cannot expect to walk with God on our terms. Submit to the Lord, and He will grant you the desires of your heart.
