Topic: God is always with me (Part 2)

Text: “Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore, will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.” – Isaiah 43:4.

As you go about your daily life, keep in mind that everything around you is eager for your attention and to become what gives you direction; negative thoughts, pressures from people, opposing opinions, the state of the economy, literally everything is asking for your attention every day.

But you must be deliberate about where your direction comes from. This is why focusing on the Lord must be intentional, focusing on his Word, promise, presence, and power. Consciously set your affection on the Lord.

All through today, know God is with you. Strengthen this assurance by giving attention to his Word, reminding yourself of his promises and commitment to your life. Refuse to live afraid or powerless. God has said he is with you, and you should allow his Word to abide in you.

A key reason the children of Israel perished in the wilderness was because they were no longer conscious of the presence of God.

When you are no longer focused on His presence, you start speaking defeat, you place your trust on men and women to help you (Jeremiah 17:5), you live a life of worry and helplessness (Philippians 4:6-7), you stop praying, or you start praying out of fear, you start living a life of compromise, you start looking for how you can help yourself outside of God, you are no longer excited about the things of God, and you may even start doing the things of God without joy.

Dear friend, let nothing weigh you down. God is committed to you, and he is always with you. You need to be very confident of this.

God may not give you everything you want, but he will fulfil his promise to you, ensuring you live in his perfect will.
